WIC Parent Mentoring

Baby & Me

It can be difficult for parents of newborns to access high-quality parenting information. That’s why we wrote and designed “Baby & Me”, an innovative parenting intervention for WIC clinics.

Parents of infants attend six one-on-one sessions, each a month apart in WIC clinics or on Zoom. Mentors use our “conversation maps” and friendly visual guides to discuss safety practices and interactions that build parent-child bonds.

Evaluation shows Baby & Me results in statistically significant improvements in parenting practices.
