Certification Courses for Peer Counselors
Arkansas is innovating addiction recovery, and Verbal Eyes is there to help.
The state designed a certification program for peer counselors, who have recovered from addiction or mental illness and are trained to help others through similar experiences.
Evaluators loved the transformational course content but wanted it presented in a friendlier way.
Verbal Eyes developed graphic slides for trainers. The slides illustrate key concepts, stimulate discussion, and portray optimistic portraits of people living well on the other side of addiction.
Our editors eliminated content and stylistic inconsistencies in four manuals. They also introduced new chapter and page formatting and tables of contents to help participants find content faster.
Our art team designed a set of reference cards for peer counselors in the field. The cards summarize steps to use in challenging situations and remind peers and peer counselors of important recovery concepts.
